Nlisema in order for Kenya to reduce road carnages u need to make getting a driving licence become so hard like kupata degree. Hapa kupata DL u must do a first aid course, followed by road safety then eye test. Haiya theory is more difficult. Kuna questions kama twenty and if u fail just two Una ambiwa FAIL no DL…rudi shule tena. Kupata DL is not mwisho wa mawazo…patikana na traffic offenses…utapatiwa points depending on the traffic offense…kuruka mataa zina point less lakini vitu kama driving under the influence or over speeding zinakukata points more. Kuna limit ya points na ukipitisha una banniwa from driving for life

In US it’s a piece of cake. Computer test on traffic act and common sense on the road the road test. All I did was do a few rounds to accustom myself to left hand driving. But the most effective thing is what you’ve said. Points depending on your driving record that have an impact on your insurance including suspension on revoking your license. The basis to traffic act is that driving is a privilege not a right
