They literally grabbed the man from outside the consulate.

Noooo! Any embassy has only diplomatic immunity, but not immunity to carry out criminal activities in a foreign country.

Most of his close family members want him gone. And this could be the opportune moment.Just read about the internal power struggles within the royal family and you will appreciate that he is dispensable.

Yeah, both operations were complex. But this one of luring someone in your embassy building and killing him cannot be described as complex hata kidogo.
Hiyo ya Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh by the time they realized he was dead (and not from the natural causes as initially thought) the suspects were long gone and possibly safe in Israel

They’ve started believing the hype, which is very dangerous. Ata Saddam pia kuna time alikuwa anajiskia sukari sana. The only reason Saudi Arabia is important to the US is because it provides America with cheap oil and buys billions of dollars worth of American arms. Other than that, the regime is dispensable. The US can easily instigate a coup in the kingdom by supporting “disenfranchised Saudis suffering under decades of a tyrannical, violent monarchy”. Hapo ndio utaskia hizo details zote Americans wamekuwa wakikanyagia “beheadings, women rights abuses, modern day slavery” etc. The beauty of it all is that after such a coup, the next puppet regime would still send even cheaper oil to the US and buy billions of dollars worth of overpriced arms. Judging by how useless the saudi army is, they would easily capitulate.

US oil exports this year touched a record 3 million barrels per day. The US exports more oil than all but 2 OPEC countries drill. That means they import cheap Saudi oil, then sell their own oil at a premium. So huyo MBS asione kama wana haja na yeye saaaana. Halafu such acts can easily be used in future by a not-so-friendly US administration to arm twist them. Turkey is being punished because of a “pastor” they arrested 2 years ago. Can you imagine if around 5 years from now a US president starts a campaign against Saudi Arabia and uses this journalist’s murder as proof of just how “violent” the regime is?

am reading somewhere that the deceased was chopped and carried out pieces like garbage and he is the grandson of a legendary turkish doctor who married into a wealthy saud lady… the doctor was the physician to the founding father of house of saud. He is also the nephew to the legendary arms dealer of the 80s and 90s. The deceased prince dado fayed who died while kamuaring princes diana was alos his nephew !!! in short shit is related ! na wale wanafikiria the heir to the thrown in saud is going somewhere poleni sana hio ni kitu kidogo sana in the kingdom… the father will just order several high grade military hardware from trump, macron, theresia etc and will just walk away with a slight slap on the face…in case you are second guessing just think of it SAUDI ARABIA FUCKIN SITS ON THE UNITED NATIONS HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL!!!

The claims of the reporting are still not proven and have holes .

Apple watch can only record audio using third party software which needs to be confirmed on the phone app itself which they claim he left with his wife .

The phone must be near to sync any audio file from the watch to the phone and to the cloud storage , which can’t be the case considering how far away his phone was with his wife .

So hii story ya audio recording was either fake or written with error by people who don’t understand technology of the apple watch .

Saudi oil is mined by conventional means. Its cost about $10 per Barrel to mine. US oil uses hydraulic fracking to mine and costs $40 a barrel at a minimum. Therefore, Saudi oil is sold at a higher premium. When world oil prices are at $50, US oil companies simply idle, because they cannot make a profit. That is one reason why US imports oil.

True and also developed countries are looking for ways to be less oil dependant. Hapo the whole West watageuka house of Saud.

On this one, its Trump’s personal interests at work

Why seek regime change in Venezuela (through sanctions and destabilisation activities), but not in Saudi? Yet Venezuelan oil is closer, they have significantly huge reserves, and petrol stations all over the USA (CITGO)? The USA double speak is very puzzling. After 9/11 the only flights allowed in the skies were Saudi planes https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2003/10/saving-the-saudis-200310 What stranglehold do the Saudi’s have, that other nations, besides Israel, do not have on USA policies?

Not quite true. He actually stated that the US would take ‘action’, but you have to understand that this is a rather complicated situation. Saudi Arabia is a very strong US ally (and has been for decades). There’s multi-billion dollar arms-deal negotiations going on right now. These are two very different situations- the pastor is a US national. At the end of the day, the US has very limited courses of action in Khashoggi’s situation.

This boy is going down. It is the only way to appease the Western world.

I’m not an expert in Mideast politics but US chooses Saudi as an ally for strategic reasons.
Venezuela is an economy that was destroyed by Chavez and especially Maduro. It has very little to do with the US. They destroyed their local industries thinking oil prices would remain forever high and when the prices plummeted they had nothing to fall back on. Couldn’t control inflation because they have to rely on everything being imported including staple food like milk and flour. As economy plunges so does the local currency against the dollar. Your food prices increases daily accordingly.

That makes sense, perhaps the US interest in Venezuela (in the most positive light) is motivated by a Venezuelan “invasion” should there to total collapse. Chavez seemed to know what he was doing, Maduro is a disaster all together. It just goes to show that a nation’s prosperity can evaporate in a number of years when there is no diversification in industry (consumerism over industrialisation). The US needs its allies in the Middle East but it looks like the Saudi money will always trump (pun intended) US “morality”.

Jesus …how exactly would Erdo allow houthis into KSA ?

Not all American oil is non conventional. There are plenty of conventional oil fields in Central Texas and Alaska that are cheap to mine. However it is true that in the present day fracked oil is a major source of American oil.
Also the reason why the US imports oil is not due to cost as American oil has been profitable since oil prices rose above $50 in 2015.
It has to do with demand. The US is the largest consumer of oil in the world, consuming a quarter of the global production.
However, domestic supply is constrained by distance, cost of transportation(the irony os that it is cheaperfor east coast refineries to get Nigerian oil as it comes by water than transporting oil from the Dakotas) and more recently inadequate pipeline capacity.

How do Turks and Houthis even intersect???
