It is one thing to contact the DOD privately by phone to inquire about a relative, and totally another to grab at and regurgitate every sensational, gossipy dramatization served up by the press.
If you read that 9 or 68 died, you still do not know the fate of your loved one.
This is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. As soon as shabaab started their suicide missions I knew the tide would turn. During Linda nchi those guys were afraid to die and used to scatter like rats that they are. The use of 3 VBIEDs was also a first anywhere in the world. Look at the effects of a VBIED below and see its devastation 2017-01-29-VIDEO-00000187.mp4
Hapo umenena, the basic rule of war is that you must hold the higher ground and must never lose it, so all camps must be on higher ground. The other thing …unconventional war is fought unconventionally, even if it means breaking the law, ring the camps with banned landmines :D, booby traps and other barriers including huge sand bags and trenches. Have Special Forces on standby and reduce the response time. Finally invest in armed drones.
Or just maybe shida ni wakubwa wao (Difficulties in implementing all that)
actually he has a valid point …VBIED is very deadly …kdf should have retreated the moment the first one broke through the outer barrier …and im still not sure why the hell were they not prepared for such attack as of el-ade …anyways they fough to their ability and were still able to deal a huge damage on the alshabaab despite being out numbered and loosing several lives …i stand with kdf
Somebody in DOD is sleeping on their job, After El adde attack the kdf should have taken measures to prevent another VBIED attack on their camps… concrete barriers or a trench would be enough to prevent such an attack
