it depends where from and why u are been deported? A case like in Germany, makarao watakuzindi hadi kwako and even help u pack your luggage…States and UK naskia wanakurudisha venye uko

there are “friends” I had back in the day, who soon after landing in states cu off communication completely, refused invites on social media etc etc. never paid any attention to family, we only see them posting pictures of their motiz, houses and escapades on social media. sasa mtu kama huyu akirudishwa huku, si ni kicheko tuu kutoka kwa jamaa zake.

Back in the day, USIU had this exchange program in your final year unaenda kumalizia California. So this guy akaishia in 2002 then akaingia chini ya waba. Guy has never been to Kenya since, he’s born 77 so he’s almost 40yrs, n he’s not married(not that it matters). He is the first born and therefore a lot is expected of him. He has no investments huku at all, so the dad passed on like 3yrs ago and he din’t show up for the burial. His last born Siz had a wedding the following year and he was no where to be seen!
With an American education, I tend to think he could have gotten gainful employment had he returned to Kenya.

If the dude is not documented in the States then he couldn’t just visit Kenya and return back so he had to make a hard decision, to attend the father’s burial and never return back to the states or not to attend the burial at all but continue staying there

I think it would serve some pple right. mtu alienda majuu over 10yrs ago, hajawahii kanyanga +254 tena, mazishii ya budake hakutokea, harusi ya lastborn Siz hakutokea. no tangible investments huku, why shouldn’t such a person be deported?

I know a relative who didn’t come to his own child’s burial. Probably kept by a Granny in US. I’d drink myself silly if he gets deported.

I have lost 3 good friends to suicide because they couldn`t deal with the shame and scandal of being deported that befell their families in Kenya.
I take this matter VERY seriously.

Diasporans make it hard for themselves by posting glamarous pics on social media about their life in Majuu when the truth is life is very tough there. Thats why many laugh when they are deported. Very few deported ever make it in Kenya. Truth is they simply give up. Their standards are usually too high and they fail to readjust.
