Kind of reminds of Mr.Ndung’u Maths teacher cum volleyball and football coach and patron with His usual shinny baggy trousers(shaky leggy), green ocha like sports shoes coupled with a heavy Greek accent. in our school pale kwakina Musbcounty @Motokubwa kuna Mr Muchiri who we had nicknamed “Mburi” (hakua na matusi ingine) who came up with a crazy idea of taming us.
Noise makers were made to stand on a chair for half an hr along the chainlink school fence, that was not bad at all shida ni that was a very busy rural rd, Parents, friends, relatives wakipita hapo wanakuona juu ya kiti wanashangaa hii ni maneno gani. siku ya Meria ilifika na shosh aliniona, kufika home maswaliwhat was i doing on top of a chair kwa fence, hehe. kamdanganya mwalimu alikua amesema tuhesabu magari kwa rd.

In high school prefects used to bully form ones (bom shonde) na wale maform 2 and 3 mteremko. It was worse since this was a boarding school. Sometimes guys used to rebel which had disastrous results like this DH captain getting 17 stitches on his face after being hit with a glass plate.

Remember these frog jumps did them once from the gates and I couldn’t stand for some minutes. Literally my knees couldn’t support my body. Alafu nakumbuka jamu if you were on punishment you would remove sweater and tie na unakaa tu prisoner amidst the visible green blazers. Good school though.

This reminds me, Mrs Karanja was my English teacher. I am told she later became the deputy after Mr Okumu left. Huyo mathe alikua anakuja daro akisoma some literature textbook anasinzia. Since class za Ngoso zilikua zinaisha on the lunch bell ilikua blessings on the double. Tulikua tunanyemelea tunaduck hiyo daro akilala hapo mbele(not everyone). Kisha tunaenda kwa napier grass next to DH. Sisi ndio tulikua tunasaidia cook kupanga food alafu Lion’s share…
