Lionel Messi Exposed

this is an american right? i would take him seriously if he was talking of basket ball

Argentina have not won a major senior title since the 1993 Copa America. Which shows the problem with the Argentine side are not because of Messi but ran deeper.

How many Ballon D’Ors has Thierry lifted? Messi has lifted half of the ones offered in this decade?

Wait a minute, while we are at it, Gotze is a greater player than Messi and Christiano. I mean he has won a world cup title. SMH

Don’t kill the messenger. Listen to the message.

So basically your claim to Messi’s greatness is that he won Ballon D’Ors?

My friend, how can Messi be called the GOAT when he’s been so pathetic in international play? It’s because of international tournaments that players like Pele and Maradona became legends.

Maradona carried Argentina to World Cup glory single handedly, scoring 2 of the most iconic goals in history. He voluntarily left Barcelona and went to some obscure, backwater Italian team-Napoli-and turned them into a world powerhouse?

Maradona did that and more. Pele won World Cups back to back.

Messi?

So pathetic. Nigga the guy was the best performer in last years world cup. He can only do so much if the team he plays for plays like shit. He had the most dribbles(46), most chances created(23) and only 2 people scored more goals than he did.

Pele kwanza is the most overrated player. World class but very overatted. I am glad you had no rebuttal for Ronaldinho. He played in a very poor league and when the standard of the game was so poor. The nature of football (and most sports) is that the quality increases as time goes on due to technological advancements, evolution, greater understanding, etc. Pele may have been a unique talent that would have thrived in any era, but the average standard of his opponents would have been noticeably lower than the modern equivalent.

390 of his estimated 1,033 club goals came in friendlies, some of which were played against teams such as prestigious as the US Navy…

He clearly did not lead his team to victory on the world cups he won.

In the 1962 World Cup win, he sat out most of the tournament due to injury while Garrincha led his country to victory with some breathtaking performances. Injuries restricted him to just a single goal at each of the 1962 and 1966 tournaments.

Nostalgia does funny things to our brains.
We innately seem to prefer things we treasure from the past to stuff we like in the present.
We do it with films, music and, inevitably, footballers and Pele is the greatest beneficiary of footballing nostalgia

History proves you wrong, so do the pundits, players, the fans…Everybody.

Pele is the greatest footballer in history, followed by Maradona. He was VOTED World Player of the Century, FIFA Player of the Century and Athlete of the Century by the International Olympic Committee. So, let’s see, should we believe them or the opinion of an anonymous Kenyan on the internet?

Hold this L my nigga. You lose.

Ronaldinho won a World Cup, Confederations Cup, Copa America…He was one of the best players Barcelona has ever seen.

Messi? Zake ni ma Baloon Dior ama ni Celine Dion?

Overated.

Over Tattooed

Pele was not even the best player on his Brazilian teams. Better than Tostao? Ask any Brazilian of that era. He was no.3 or 4. Most successful, yes. Best, hell no. Best because American media made him so to sell papers. His move to the US was a brilliant PR stunt for money. Ronaldinho got affected by the bottle and women. Do you know that at his prime he wouldnt travel in the tour bus with his teammates in between games. He had to make stops in little towns in Spain to booze and mess with Kungurus. This is when he won the Champions league.

Again, I’ll believe the many millions of pundits, fans and fellow players who voted for Pele rather than Mr. Simiyu on Kenyatalk. Sande sana. Ronaldinho’s personal life is irrelevant in this discussion.

wachana na Gaucho…raw talent, hizi hadithi umewaka hapo juu pelekea watu hawajui soccer

Ronaldinho may have won fewer trophies than either Messi, Christiano, Zidane and Ronaldo and stayed at the peak of his powers for fewer years but his ability was unique. He was far more gifted and natural with special ability whose moves and goals were from a different world. I would watch Barca games just to see what he could, and would, do next.

Even some supporters of Barca’s bitter rivals Real Madrid could not help but stand and applaud when he tore their beloved Blancos asunder on a famous night at the Santiago Bernabeu in November 2005. One doesnt simply command a standing ovation at Bernabeau for trouncing a team that had the likes of Zidane, Ronaldo, Raul, Beckham, Roberto Carlos, Salgado, Casillas et . Ronaldinho transcended the traditional lines of partisan warfare that is currently being exhibited by fans, either one is for Messi or Ronaldo - one cannot appreciate both, apparently. But Ronaldinho was above competition.

What Ronaldinho did, no one else did.

They are both great players, the morons who feel the need to compare the two really need to get a life+brains. Their styles of play are different. Their physique can’t be any more different! Plus all other factors that come into play in team sport! You can’t objectively compare the two! Airheads…

I get a sense that this is a dick measuring contest, only that you suckers are clutching into other men’s cocks and using them to compete.
