Jews have never been followers of Jesus. They are infact famous for murdering the founder himself, and tried to finish off his followers, some poor fisherman-like folk from small villages in their community.
This fascination of Christians about Jews ultimately doesn’t make sense. But I understand modern mainstream Christianity is all about power and control.
He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God.
And interesting bit btw, there are now Jews who are becoming ‘Messianic’ jews (followers of Jesus) without the New Testament (letters written by Jesus’ disciples), just using the traditional Torah, the book of the prophets etc that were read in synagogues those long ago days. These things can be very fascinating.
