Unfortunately Kivutha does not belong to the political elite aka "the dynasties, who’s interests are deeply entrenched in kenya’s economy, they need to hand over to of their own, someone they trust to protect their interests, a puppet they can control and manipulate.

Jomo protected the odingas, Moi protect the kenyattas, Kibaki and Uhuru protected all of the above.

Raila hapana, the guy’s own party is too disorganized. Ile political and economic confusion unaeza ona, it will be shocking.

I agree with you but people are not ready to change yet.

Only people from the Rift maybe. Matiangi has had an impact and an impression on the majority of voters(who are under age 35). So he can win. Even based on tribal blocs, he has the support of most communities in Western , a Raila endorsement (which he can get btw if it comes to between him and Ruto) would propel him even in places like Coast where he is not well known but Raila is loved.

Unfortunately, the Kenyan electorate hasnt changed. Most people reasoning ni ile ya stone age. The tribal card will still be used immensely to the advantage of the ruling elite, and to the disadvantage of the same electorate: Kikuyu, Luhya, Luo, Kalenjin. Other tribes and women candidates will be picked for no.2 seat. <<<----this is where Waiguru, Matiangi, Kivutha and others might get lucky.

But ill never go to vote since the power brokers and tribal mafias will decide who takes it, not who vies.
