More trouble for bunker baby DRUMPF

Moi was hit with sanctions all the time. Whenever he continued to crash the opposition refusing to change the katiba, money was pulled from his projects. Anatulia.

When he refused to deal with corrupt Kalenjin leaders anaguzwa tena. Unaskia amesema he has moved so and so from ministry X to ministry Y… or just summarily fires them.

A Sanction is simply being pinched where it hurts. Every country or individual on earth has a place whereby if pinched you will feel the pain. Sanctions are not about destroying the economy but pinching the individual until he relents.

Those cannot be classified as economic sanctions, Moi was just denied funding from IMF, world bank and other lending facilities due to corruption.
They really had no issue with our exports or imports… they were still sending cash to NGOs and also giving us ARVs.

Moi regime was denied loans due to stealing, Moi would have left huge loans while the money was in his thug’s foreign account.
Kenya retrogressed due the lack of loans, but not so much compared to the way sanctions have hit Iran and Zimbabwe.

Imagine if horticultural and flower exports were banned from Europe Union and US???

And not only that, US influenced other nations to stop buying our tea , coffee , macadamia, avocadoes etc… we have never gotten to that level.

That is where Iran is right now with their Oil… Do you remember when Iran wanted to sell Kenya some oil back during Kibaki era?? US embassy just cut off the deal. Mkia tukaingiza chini, and that now happens with all US allies…

They cannot buy spare parts for their American weapons, like the F-14 Tomcat , US has gone to the extent of destroying any tomcat in their junkyards to prevent the possibility of parts being illegally savaged and sold to Iran.

Economic sanctions by NATO nations only few nations can remain strong.

Sanctions are not meant to destroy the economy but to hurt dictatorial leaders and their governments.

Iran is still functioning quite well today despite sanctions. Their citizeny are not starving like in Venezuela, why???

And despite having a leadership hellbent on acquiring nukes so they can one day wipe out the Zionists off the face of the earth, their citizens appear to be very resilient!

This is Iran. Despite being hit with sanctions do they look poor or hungry to you???

Does this look like a poor country? Where did this fat fucker below get a BMW in sanctioned Iran!!!

SANCTIONS ARE NOT MEANT TO DESTROY THE LOCALS!

Now in Venezuela after they discovered oil they became lazy. Just like in Nigeria in the 1970s the Venezuelans stopped farming and even became importers of food :

Oil pushes out Venezuela's agriculture - Marketplace

Venezuela was once an agricultural haven but today they can’t feed themselves due to poor national planning.

They are suffering from the “Dutch Disease” in that they grew wealthy in one sector and abandoned other sectors.

And why was Venezuela hit with sanctions?

In 1998 Hugo Chavez was elected as President. Venezuala became very oil rich during his first years in power. Life was good. But the govt. didn’t save their oil earnings.

Meanwhile power got into Hugo’s head. Midway in his second term the guy decided to become a socialist… fuck democracy, yes to presidency for life! He muzzled the media and crashed any opposition. Same old script.

Si ni lazima angefinywa ndio awache upus.

And where do you pinch Hugo Chavez? The answer was in his new found oil wealth. Unfortunately he died in 2013 and the guy who replaced him followed in his footprints. Venezuala had not saved much of their oil wealth earnings and they had abandoned farming and starvation followed once they were hit with sanctions.

Now do you guys want the U.S and her allies to buy Venezuelan oil and entrench Maduro and his socialism?

The same question can be posed to the Kenya of 1990 or 1995. Do you want the U.S to continue funding President Moi the dictator, a fellow who has refused to leave and is thoroughly corrupt? Na akipewa pesa he is just entrenching his power deeper and deeper???

Pinch ni lazima.

My foolish self of years ago would have wholeheartedly agreed with your post but i know better now. The terms “socialist” & “communist” are made up terms by the Capitalist system to negatively brand leaders who refuse to enforce capitalism on their nations.

You will find that America enjoys a great advantage in terms on imperialism because of power of the dollar. They wield this power ridiculously and have raped a lot of countries for their resources. But the rape is gentle and structured in a way to look like a friends with benefit relationship. From the Panama Canal & Omar Efrain Torrijos to Hugo Chavez, these are situations where the leaders simply try to undo the damage caused by imperialists and their one way investments. They want the resources to provide for the country rather than enrich Americans first. If you read my previous post, you will see how earnings from these natural resources are shared with the home country i.e. they get very little to put towards their national budget.

It is always amusing when media portrays the leaders as revolutionaries and that they use propaganda to turn their citizens away from the dollar. The truth is as a leader, you have to instill a sense of national pride and push hope as you try to make changes. It is a proper strategy that is employed by stronger countries in many ways. Think about how often you can interact with an American and they will brag about their country which is acceptable yet we frown upon people doing the same if they come from negatively perceived countries.

I say all that to say this, whenever you hear leaders being painted negatively or being assigned such labels, it is almost always that they have refused to allow the rape & pillage of their country at the extreme levels imperialists would want. There is always a natural resource involved whether it’s oil or minerals.
