Of babies born with deformities

I fail to understand why anybody would not counsel the parents of an anencephalic foetus and proceed to terminate the pregnancy with all the risks that polyhydramnios would yield, more so if added to emotional torture after the subsequent loss of the newborn if he/she survives intrauterine life.

Can you repeat that in English as it just whizzed past me and I suspect there might be a point lost in all those difficult terms
