they are rated explicit. You’re an adult you can relate to what they sing throughout the song

Most Kenyan musicians are producing party and underground music that cannot be supported by the mainstream media. If the Kenyan media was to exhibit some support attitude towards these kids, they will refine their music so as to enjoy the publicity. Let’s not give up on our own.

@Duke of Busia . I think you mean the production company can sell to the radio stations clean edit versions. But they can release whatever they want. But compare this to Jamaican music, this is fairly mild. I think twerking/ dry humping came from or was popularized by Jamaican mainstream.

Our artiste don’t concentrate much with the post production logistics just the other year an artiste was recorded beating up his producer for not releasing some of his tracks

this industry is idolatry

Why do young Kenyan musicians insist on sounding black American to be considered cool? Don’t they have a culture they can be proud of? lol

I’d rather listen to Kamaru or Salim Junior than this subpar, adulterated trash.

There was a time (early 2000s) Kenyan music coexisted with international music. Most kids were singing along to songs from Calif and Ogopa with the same energy as Sean paul, TID, Chameleone and Co . I’m not sure what changed but its definitely not the lyrics as that period also had some silly lyrics(boomba clan, bugz, circuit etc) .
Bullying people into listening to your songs won’t work . I think Kenyan artistes should focus on staying power rather than making a hit that will be forgotten in a few months. Create something good and the people will come
