Hehe. Also thought so

bado hamjasema estimated price ya hii kazi… ~how~ many mirrions

It’s difficult to give an estimate until you narrow down on how extensive you want the rebuild to be.
So I’ll give instead line items of what a typical project like this needs.

  1. Body job, which will entail quite a bit of welding. Again, if you need a roll cage or some solid work to the running board and even reinforce the floor, this is when to do it.
  2. The engine bay on this can fit an in line 6, V8 or any straight 4. That’s the beauty of rear wheel drives. You can either mate it to the current gear box, in which case you’ll need to fabricate a plate to couple the bell-housing. Best, usually is when the engine and gear box come together from the same donor car. The beauty of Nissans, here, is that above a certain engine size, many of their gear boxes can fit other model engines without the need for that steel plate adaptation.
If you upgrade engines, you must upgrade the braking too. So new rear differential with disc brakes. Cost.
  3. Fuel pump: For a mod like this, your best bet would be an in-line fuel pump ya Mercedes Benz so you don’t have to cut the tank and put in a submersible one. A Bosch pump will set you back about 15 grand.
  4. Lathe work: With the new engine, and maybe gear box as well, you may have to shorten or lengthen the propeller shaft. This is a precision job that has to be done on a lathe machine kwa ‘engineer’. Cost.
  5. Modify engine mounting brackets on the chassis and get new engine mounts. Cost.
  6. Wiring. New engine will come with computer and wiring harness. You’ll need a knowledgeable person to connect this to your car’s old wiring system and the dials in your dashboard. Cost.
  7. Consumables: Clips, fasteners, WD40, engine oil, gear box oil, etc will gake a huge chunk as well.

It’s a lot of work.

You had to mention the almighty WD40

Hehehe.
Hii ni ile ya ukweli.
