The disgraced social media influencer was arrested in Romania as part of a human trafficking and rape investigation and will be held in jail for 30 days.
The 36-year-old was detained alongside his brother Tristan, 34, and their assistants Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu at their £600,000 villa in the capital Bucharest on December 29.
Officials close to the police investigation say Tate asked his employees to shadow his victims’ every move, forcing them to take part in online pornographic videos.
‘The abuse was physical and emotional. They were not allowed to leave the house without security and they were watched day and night,’ a Romanian judicial source told the Daily Mail.

‘They were essentially kept under house arrest 24/7 like prisoners. They were deprived of their freedom and followed everywhere.’
The six victims are alleged to have taken part in videos on the adult content platform Only Fans and the video-sharing app TikTok, with the two brothers allegedly pocketing all the proceeds.
Prosecutors allege Tate recruited the women on social media platforms based on the false promises of professing his love and intention to marry them.

The tactics, known as the ‘lover boy’ method, is often used by criminals to recruit victims who are suffering from economic hardship by seducing them with gifts and promises of a better life abroad.
‘We have information – based on what they said on social media – that one of the girls brought in up to €50,000 (£44,350) a month,’ the source said. ‘They were given no money from what they earned.’
The women allegedly include one American, one Moldovan and four Romanian nationals.
The dawn raid at the Bucharest villa was carried out by officers from the city’s anti-organised crime unit and was part of a nine month investigation culminating in Tate’s arrest and a search of the villa which lasted more than 12 hours.
A video carried out from the raid shows officers recovering guns, knives and money.
The investigation was started when Romanian investigators began their probe when the US embassy in Bucharest raised the alarm after diplomats discovered an American woman was being held against her will in the city.

The 22-year-old American woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, managed to recover her mobile phone and call her boyfriend in the US who alerted the embassy.
Tate also runs the ‘Hustler’s Academy’ where 127,000 mostly men pay him £39 a month for tips on getting rich and dealing with life.
The misogynistic social media influencer had previously said him and his brother moved to Romania to receive less scrutiny from police.
The lawyer representing the Tate brothers, Eugen Vidineac, was unable to reply to the Mail’s request for comment.
His name has been cast into the limelight recently when he got involved in a Twitter spat with prominent environmental activist Greta Thunberg.
He was arrested 24 hours after posting a video of himself eating pizza and trolling Miss Thunberg.
In a clip posted on Wednesday evening, the ex-kickboxer ranted about the teenage climate activist while smoking a cigar.
During the video, Tate is seen being handed two boxes from the chain restaurant Jerry’s Pizza with clearly identifiable Romanian-language writing on them.
It has prompted speculation police may have used the post to confirm his location ahead of his arrest.
