We know in the west that more women than men initiate divorce. So you narrative of men abandoning responsibility fails completely.

I don’t have any bias against men. None. I am just not a dumb blonde like most women who don’t critically analyze the world but live in blind faith in men in spite of cautionary tales they hear of and see all around, I am a spiritual woman and I am a cerebral one too, I have faith in God and I bow only to God, noone and nothing else. It’s only in matters God that 1+1 can be 3 because we walk by faith not by sight but when it comes to human nature especially male nature because it is a patriarchal society we live in 1+1=2 what you see is what you get. If this world was a matriarchal society even you yourself would have nothing to complain about. There would be no crime, no murder, no hunger, no poverty, no disease it would be paradise. Because women care about others and share what they have which is their nature until they are indoctrinated otherwise by men. All these women who hurt men were hurt by men. If there’s no men women would not have any flaws. All these bad habits women have are because of men. Look into matriarchal societies you see how sweet life is there, they don’t even have to lock doors. Women embody the qualities of God more than any other creatures and that’s why Jesus could come to earth through a woman and bypass the male aspect of reproduction bcz a male seed would be desecrated but a virgin isn’t. Look at the extolled men like Diamond, he’s extolled because women have added value to him because that’s what women do, but look at the most despised women,those in prostitution, what made them desecrated? Men. So a woman who has never been touched by a man is sacred enough to birth the Son of God but once a man touches a woman her value starts deteriorating. So is it me with a bias against men when men themselves recognize that they are the descreating and devaluing factor between the genders. I am I more biased against men than they are towards themselves? If so why don’t men recommend women who have experienced many men after all if men add value those should be considered the most valuable women. Even the Bible says he who gets a wife obtains favor from God and children are a heritage, a quiver of arrows, please show me a Bible verse that says she who gets a man gets something good. If you are not raised by a single mother you don’t have the moral authority to talk of alimony and child support. The number 1 predisposing factor for female poverty is single motherhood. Not female singlehood, female motherhood. On numerous occasions I have put several researches here that show that black women are on the same tragectory as white women out of poverty when they are born and raised in poverty UNTIL they get married to black men and divorced or end up single mothers by whatever means. Then it’s a free fall back to poverty. The world’s wealth is in the hands of less than 1% of women so alimony is unlikely to affect women much. Either way, a woman’s time , energy, emotional and sexual and domestic labor are more than enough opportunity cost to require a man to pay alimony. Child care is very demanding and being the custodial parent takes money and time that women could invest in self development and economic empowerment. Women are very unhappy in marriages and that’s why even before child support and alimony were in existence 75% of all divorces were initiated by women. Happiness researchers show that married men are happiest followed by single women then single men and married women last. That tells you why they initiate divorce it’s not for money it’s because they are tired of pulling all the weight in the marriage. The women who remarry double the chances of divorce with every new marriage they go into. That alone can tell you where the problem lies. Marriage was a financial necessity because an unmarried woman would become destitute. So basically the woman was trapped. The man could beat her, cheat on her, shit on her, vomit on her, urinate on her but where would she take her children? She could not be employed, she could not own property or do any business. Marriage instituted by God when man was the protector and provider became the best weapon for patriarchy to oppress women and give men immeasurable power over women beyond that of a God regardless of her socio economic class. Marriage became the place of subjugation that all women had no choice but to get into so as to have children, once they had children their fate was sealed and the man’s power was absolute power. Who will marry her again with another man’s children? How would she fend for the children? How would she deal with the stigma of being a divorcee and a single mother? She could never overcome the influence of the man on her life even if she left him, he would still define her and have power over her life. Yet women are never made cognizant of the consequences of attachment to any man besides her father so that women don’t take the decision seriously and with alot of soul searching. They just fall in love and discover reality when it’s too late to reverse the effects of wrong men in their lives.
Alimony and child support merely made men experience the helplessness of being tied down by what you did in the past like women , the time wasted, the children from a man who you no longer love or no longer wants to be with you, a man who does not want to provide even in a marriage bcz society does not frown on an irresponsible father as it does an irresponsible mother (by the way married women file for child support too)I know such a case of people I know personally the man is working we lecture part time but he can not even buy a tomato in his house the mortgage and school fees for 5 kids, holidays is relegated to the wife who now has high blood pressure and she’s below 50.As the feminist icon Gloria Steinem said, if men could get pregnant aboution would be a sacrament and so God gave His heart to women because men are too selfish to be mothers.

My maternal grandmother was widowed very young. Her children all went to university and she had 7 boys and 3 girls. Her family is doing better than those who still have both parents to date. Your grandfather knew nothing except for the people he saw around him. You should not take his word as the gospel. If he lived in my grandmother’s village he would have to tell you the opposite.
