Spain Catalonia seccesion Referendum

The one move that almost single handedly ensures the pro-independence movement grows stronger. I’m always puzzled how almost every great nation has that one problematic region/ province.

Iraq will have a huge task trying to go up against the Kurdish army or Kurds in general. Remember the gains made against ISIS have largely been due to Kurdish groups’ involvement. The Iraq army ran away from Mosul like little fine ghels when ISIS fired the first bullet.

I think Puerto Rico would prefer to be a fully-fledged U.S. state given its current state, sovereign debt is weighing it down and the infrastructure is dilapidated. they could do with being under Uncle Sam’s wing

The will of the Catalans is about to be known in a matter of hours.

Hii nayo ni noma. More so because the Kurds straddle at least four nations: Iran, Iraq, Turkey & Syria. I wonder how the other three will react to their own Kurdi minorities.

Its

It is tricky for Iraq to use full force. The Kurds do NOT fear any Arabs. At all.

They should do an Israel. Invite Kurdis from neighbouring countries to join them in their new state in Iraq rather than continuing to fight the likes of Turkey. …
Kurdis have pulled a great move by filling the vacuum left by IS departure. The Iraqis took a backseat thinking that the Kurdis were fighting for them…

Iraq was really disappointed by the Kurds independence vote, hadi prime minister anasema the Kurds should surrender the international airports in their region (i wonder how).

The Kurdish referendum will impact massively in Iran,Syria,Armenia n Turkey.
Turkey especially is a risk of another uprising given the turbulent Kurdish history in Turkey.

Already the Iraqi government have closed the Kurdish airspace. Big things are coming…

Closer home, the Luhya are in court, wanting Kakamega as the capital city of their own country,MRC - Pwani Si Kenya and ODM’s republic of people of kenya (or something like that) are all simmering pots… All because some want the title president. God fordid!

How about Tibet? Hapo China will send tanks and drones in droves hao monks wakipate.

Listened to DW radio news a while ago. There was a news item about Erdogan blaming Israel, among others, for ‘supporting’ Kurds.

Eeh?

A departure largely made possible by the same Kurds. To an extent, this whole madness may have helped their cause. Previously, no one thought of the identity in sovereign terms, just tribal, but it seems they can hold their own, for while if someone isn’t of the opinion that they need “Democracy”.

And Hong Kong citizens are tired of arranged democracy…

On this one, they’re better of negotiating for increased internal autonomy.

Hebu compare the Spanish response today with the U.K approach (Scotland) or Canadian (Quebec).

Erdogan is the new Lukashenko in Europe.

They’d best start negotiating how to coexist now. Better to start off as friends.

maze, they are ruled by a CEO. The head is called the CEO of Hong Kong

If Hong Kong claims independence China watalia, nadhani Hong Kong can stand on it’s own to be among top ten richest economies.

Reason why China says its non-negotiable. Even when Trump got elected he alluded to the fact that hong kong can be brought on the negotiation table in a wide range of issues from North Korea to Trade agreements but he had to tone down the rhetoric. Hapo China is willing to go to war over Hong Kong.

China wouldn’t let them.
