I think that tale of Hitler being the most evil man is exaggerated. Yes, he was a murderous, cold-hearted person but he was just on the wrong side of history. Other leaders at the time like Churchill, Stalin, Mao etc were equally brutal.

When a person conceptualises , designs and builds huge "ovens ", with gas chambers to quickly and efficiently kill people, don’t you that person has earned the title ‘The most evil man’?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Just think about it for a minute, if Hitler had succeeded in europe, the british colonies would have been taken over by the germans and we, the africans, would have been nyama chomad in those ovens.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Stalin had a huge personality cult. most people think of him as a tall, handsome, mustachioed man with a very smooth healthy face. People who knew him said stalin was short and with a ugly scarred face. Nobody dared publish a realistic image of him. The dude was very cruel and you should read about what he did to original bolshevik revolutionaries.
they all suffered persecution for “plotting against the revolution”, “wrecking”, “sabotage”, “treason” etc. crimes whose details was rarely revealed. they were either assassinated, executed, sent to siberian gulags, disgraciously removed from the party etc. Script was like: they would disappear, later appear in public and confess to a litany of fictitious crimes(of course under duress and torture), then face execution and other punishment. This guy Stalin was living in a completely fictional world. just read about things he did.

Said to have killed more of his own subjects than died in WW2!

It, indeed, had e.g Cameroon, Burundi, Namibia, Rwanda, Togo & Tanganyika but had been dispossessed of them by the League of Nations after WW1. Recall as well the ping pong game they played with France over Alsace & Lorraine.

It’s instructive that the 1884 Berlin conference that heralded and formalized the scramble for Africa was held under Otto von Bismarck’s guidance and organization.

I beg to disagree,how can you say a man who caused close to 13 million deaths is exaggerated .
For Churchill i disagree fully he was nt brutal like his counter parts.for Chairman Mao,he had to use iron fist in order to unite the divided China.Can you imagine a small country like Japan invading China and almost conquered it.

Japan haikuwa mchezo. ilikuwa imeonyesha allies moto. ilibidi washikane ndio waweze. Even then they had to use the A bomb because they were afraid of a conventional war with japan especially when it was about to make the last stand to defend homeland. The japanese army was dreaded.
There are some Japanese soldiers who were at war even in the 1970s and their former army commander, now retired, had to be recalled to come and have them stand down and report to base. Thirty years after japan surrendered and the war ended. They wouldn’t come out of the bush unless a senior officer they recognized demobilized them in person. The discipline is beyond comprehension.
if it were to be japan against any single of the allies it would have overrun them.
