In a previous job, I almost got fired because of one! we were going for a function some place kule Eastern part of kenya. We send the nigga fare ya 5k ajisort, while i was using the company car. akapiga simu na kutubembeleza, we pick the guy up, yaani we had to go pick the guy up in Macahakos town ndio tuanze safari ya kurudi ni kama nairobi ndio safari ianze…hio pesa ya fare akakula tu hivyo. he was to get a similar amount during the function ndio aweze kurudi BTW. Anyway, during the function a few things went wrong and I had to innovate to control a situation that was developing into a nasty one (ofcourse using unothodox means).

Kumbe huyu mjinga tumesaidia ndio anapiga simu kwa ofisi and fuckin snitchin on me! This same guy once came to the office on invitation to a function here in Nairobi, we were to reimburse his fare using MPESA, but it failed that day and the nigga started causing ati ata mtoto wake hana school fees and shit like that, ati hakuwa na pesa yoyote ya kumrudisha Machakos from Nairobi, so alikuwa alale kwa streets hio siku. and we explained to the guy that he would receive his money the day after, but hakuwa anataka kuskia.

BTW, siwezi kuwa na huruma na hao watu…

So even after the Kenya national amputee football team represented the country in the amputee football world cup in México lifted the countries name and flew the Kenyan flag high, they could not be allowed to access the Ministry of Sports, Culture and the Arts
board room this morning and were asked to wait outside at the entrance near the reception just after the lifts. The players were tired and fatigued due to the long journey from México.

The players agenda was to present the ministry of sports with the trophy and the report from their achievements in the just concluded world cup tournament.
The players are also pleading with the ministry of sports to pay their allowances so that they can travel back to their home and join with their families whom they have been away from the the last two months.
Without allowances these players can not be able to even pay their transport or even provide their families with basic needs such as rent, food etc.
This is a very bad reception by the very people we expected to receive us with great joy and honour. We’re really disappointed and heart broken.

We have career civil servants in that ministry, who are responsible for the day to day operations. They are responsible for handling of clients, if I was the PS in that ministry I would have dealt with those people.

This could be just the errors of junior civil servants.

Having a Minister for sports is just dumb and wasting precious government resources. That entire docket should be scrapped.

We should have an organizational sports body that will handle the affairs of these athletes from all sporting field under one umbrella. Meaning athletes would be able to get sponsorship deal locally and internationally if they perform. Plus we can also vet these dubious foreign coaches.

Stadiums should fall under the Stadia board and they’ll work with both government and private sector and donors to build, rehabilitate sporting venues and rent them out for functions. They’ll also venture into building different kinds of venues that would have it earn money like UFC rings etc .
