Once upon a time as a fresh mono in High School, bullying was rampant despite efforts by school authority to tame the vice.
We would converge in our classrooms during evening preps and hear horror stories of what our colleagues had gone through.

One Saturday afternoon, after having a lunch of Ugali and cabbage with lots of water as soup and a piece of dik dik meat, I was walking to class with a friend late after the bell had rang. There was no human in sight as everyone had gone to class.

While passing next a dorm nicknamed Nyati, (I lived in Twiga), a bunch of seniors called us.

Mambuzi, leteni mikia yenu hapa… yelled one of them. mbuzi was a term for mono. We obliged and went to the window where they were.

Kumanina zenu mwachungulia dirishani ka mashoga! rukeni ndani! We jumped through the grill-less window into the cubicle. There were around six guys sitting on beds around. One was washing clothes.

The guy doing his washing picked up, mnifulie nguo, ama mfanye press-ups… mi nikadai siwezi press-ups. Nikarushiwa trao ingine hapo ina material ngumu ka jeans. Nikasema siwezi fua pia.

The guy looked at me and said, ka huwezi fua basi tomba ukuta. My friend was on the floor pushing his tummy up and down. Without any choice, nikaamua itabidi nimetomba hiyo ukuta.

So I positioned myself on a fucking position and started humping at the wall.

after a minute nikasema nimemaliza. umemwaga? Tomba mpaka umwage. The rest of the guys were laughing the shit out of their lungs as I humped ferociously at the wall.

Then I remembered what porn actors do in those movies I had watched. I was abt to let out an epic finish when someone passed on the corridor at 80kph. There was no need to be told that a teacher was around. Tuliruka kwa dirisha na kufumuka kama mshale.

Huko ni Nyeri High. Nyati 1 ilikuwa the real name. “Coast” ndio ilikuwa nickname
