I had actual super knocking error codes with V-power, car actually stalled. I am not sure they sell what they claim. If your engine is pinging with excellium then that is news because very few people use Vpower and yet there are fewer complaints of pinging. What is your engine?

Regarding your Excellium case, chances are the station may be lax or negligent in ensuring good fuel quality.

V-power is said to have some solvents that clean gum that deposits from fuel.
Excellium ni meffi, the car is slow and when idle it will shakes as if it engine will swich off. I prefer kenol kobil or national oil
Could also be a case of wrong plugs
