What I meant is there only 9 companies that have been approved by KRA to provide the electronic cargo tracking service (I have contacts in all of them if you need anything)

Currently it’s done for all transit cargo. Every truck carrying transit cargo must be electronically locked in msa and the electronic seal is only disarmed at the port of exit by kra guys. They even get route violation alerts in real-time if you as much as leave the main route by 500 meters

@Meria Mata jibu hii swali… but once upon a time, while in Primary school, we had a classmate whose father was a truck driver. They were shiny eyes from Lamu. He had elder bros who were in private universities and since most of the time he was home alone, his weekly allowance was 5k! Before class 8 akapelekwa Light Academy Nyali, and ended up in the same school for Secondary education.

Truck drivers earn lots of dough.

It’s made up of a reader and a slave, the slave goes on the container and the master in the trucks cabin.

If you attempt to remove the slave ,both the master and slave send tamper violations to KRA offices (all of the kra guys with escalation including a control room at times towers )

If you disconnect the trailer and pull it with a different truck, the system (both master and slave) send critical out of range alerts to all kra guys

If the truck turns back before the port of exit, all sort of alarms go off everywhere

Oh and it’s not RFID

BTW @Meria Mata, have you guys thought of a future when self-driving trucks come around? Kule Trumpistan 3.5m truck drivers are looking at a jobless future if self-driving trucks hit the road.
