You would prefer to buy a 2018 Toyota passo for 1.5m over Toyota premio 2011 or 2018 Honda crv over 2011 prado because they cost almost the same.

1.5 million or therebouts can fetch you that “kenyan” volkswagen polo na niliona si kabaya. I am never buying a 7 year old small car again. if its a saloon, hatchback etc the newer the better. CRV maybe a 2014 or rather something with 30,000kms or less. Returning old cars to pristine condition proves expensive. Maybe my problem is that i like driving a perfect car. kama zile za @introvert zinaeza nifanya nikufe na stress ya kubadilisha parts especially if its rattling or has filler. I find myself having to shoulder big problems brought by negligence of previous owners. I am slowly understanding why people in developed nations will pay $50,000 for a new car rather than go into a yard and fetch a running SUV for $3000. they seem to understand cars.

Right. In developed nations they price cars of the same model by the mileage. Eg a 2017 Toyota x with 50,000 miles or a 2018 Totota x with 52000 miles. Price almost exact.
