Those of us who use Thicker Rod know how accidents increase when it rains and end-month weekends. Terrible. But there is nothing more terrifying on Friday and Saturday, especially nights, when you are driving up Salgaa with the whole family and relatives in a car. Instead of those coming downhill waiting for a safe stretch to overtake, they force those going uphill to abandon the main lane. If you are driving uphill, you are better safe tailgating a slow moving lorry on the climbing lane especially in the corners. Point is careless driving is killing us on the roads. Drunk driving is not the only major cause of accidents.
The downside to this is that only the common man will be handed this jailterms and not the ones who can afford ‘lawyers’. They will run you over and the next thing you hear will be he has no case to answer. Kwangu hii yote ni upusu
