Profiteering ndio mingi sana kwa hii nchi. That poor farmer lacks the financial resilience to hold his harvest for several months. The middle men want to earn more than the farmer. Some farmers even sell their produce green to earn some cash to get by. Another thing, 250 bob per bag is too steep.That bag should not cost more than 50 shillings all costs included. Hemetically sealed grain storage bags with similar functionality go for as low as 30 bob from manufacturers in China. Every solution presented to farmers is an avenue to exploit them some more.
