SACCOs don’t usually do what you’re implying here. Day-to-day running of the matatu is solely the owner’s responsibility.

The alternative arrangement I’ve seen is where management requires crew to give a certain amount (whatever target) by a certain time of the day (say by 3pm). Kutoka hapo hadi masaa ya kufunga kazi watafute pesa yao ya mshahara, ya ‘boyz’, ya kiwanja/ kanjĂș na ya mafuta (gari ni full tank daily).
