Argentina have got talent…but issues revolving arround attitude and their mental strength when things do not seem to work hits them hard from time to time.

South American football isn’t that good anymore. Argentina are bad, Brazil are average and no one wants to address this, least of all their respective football federations.
Argentina have a Messiah complex in that their society is always looking for the next Maradona. So every player is judged on whether they are as good as Maradona. So every player tries to do everything by himself. Teamwork is not emphasized by the public. They want a player who can carry the team on his shoulders like Maradona did. Thats too much pressure. Also it stifles team-work when every player “Anajitakia Makuu”.
German society on the other hand emphasize the team. Every player is judged based on how hard they work for the team. The media, the public, the fans etc they emphasize players workrate and teamwork. Thats why many of their most respected players were not scorers. Their most respected legend is Beckenbauer who was was a central defender. Mathaus, Breitner, Hrubesch, Seeler, Kahn, Schumacher, Lahm, Maier etc are the most respected by the German public. And most were not scorers. And even their scorers are not flashy. They don’t chenga. They just score. Look at Klose, Thomas Mueller, Gerd Mueller, Rummenigge, Fritz Walter, Voeller etc. …
Teamwork is more likely to win trophies especially in modern football. Thats why Germany has won the WC and reached the WC final so many times. Even when they don’t have star players.
