NOTE:

1. These salaries have been gazetted and are now law.

2. The Salaries are gross salaries subject to statutory deductions.

3. The Salaries will be fixed for the term of Office including for all successors to the Office.

4. From the above there will be a saving to the Country of Kshs. 8,853,204,952/- (8.8billion) per annum on the various items of categories saved above.

The wage Bill will now drop from 52% of GDP as it stands now to about 35% of GDP.

Why give out handouts? They’re Mps can they can come up with laws like Social Security or a welfare package for the poor. This will have a greater effect than people always with a begging plate.

Every weekend there must be at least a wedding, funeral, church service, fundraisers etc and that’s only one weekend. Now keep in mind, mheshimiwa lazima atoe kitu kizito. If you want to slash their salary, good, but hii tabia ya ombaomba iishe.

Boy wangu the Dad was an MP before hii devolution ikuje. The homestead had a delegation every weekend from gicagi. Budget yao ya chai na mkate per day ilikuwa ya kwetu mwezi mbili.
