By the way, how old r u? from the earlier discussion of selling an inherited land I assumed you are a kawaida village idiot.. Selling your father land to drink beer with women... zero investment plans.. So how old is this idiot who sold his inheritance? let us start there.
I dont think selling one's inheritance is stupid...because investment vehicles differ. I also dont subscribe to this BS of never selling inherited land...you guys should stop living in the 90's and give this guy a break. However, I do admit that using his inheritance to please women is a stupid decision. He should have liquidated the land with a clear investment strategy in mind.

Some of you guys should stop living in the 20th century and believing in some bullshit traditions. What would you do if you are a Greek living in Nairobi and you inherit land in Kisumu from your father. Common sense dictates that you will sell that land and buy land in Kiambu/Thika/Nyeri. This is just one reason that proves that the theory of never selling inherited land is bullshit. You guys should give this nigga a break.

Buy tuktuks and station them in all county headquarters. That's 47 of them.
Running them and chasing after the operators will keep you so occupied you won't have any time left to blow the rest of your money on women.
Hahaha, even no time for ktalk

What you have is cursed money... Never sell an inherited land.. Its a curse and abomination from where I come from to sell land you inherited and never bought in the first place... @ The end all that money will go down the drain.. And you have for ever lost the pride and chance to hand it over to your son/ sons... one day they will know abt it and they will for ever consider you the biggest idiot/ looser to have been born in their family tree...
Very true. I have witnessed many fellows in my shags selling inherited land, and partying like there is no tomorrow. Today they move from one keg bar to another drinking leftovers

I can bet your 10 million windfall has less than a million left.. What is a difference of 10% and 12% interest? as you continue drinking with women? Stop living in your past kama pesa imeisha... Kubali na urudie maisha ya u-peasant ya before.. by the way atleast huyo jamaa ya sportpesa build a pit latrine... What have u build?
Waaah...why are people so bitter??

1. Don’t quit your job, please :) . Ten million is a lot less than you think and worse, it’s not going to make you any returns in several years. If you have little to no savings - like most Kenyans, you are going to be digging into this ten million each month and trust me, your spending will shoot up even 5X.

2. I agree with Elin on this. The streets and villages are lined up by many idiots who were doomed by alcohol, drugs and women. Most of them were once perceived as being smart and honorable. The chances of you being counted among them is now 50/50 … believe it or not.

3. For business advice, try to stay away from what the masses are doing. There is nothing like a safe business decision. Business is taking risks and being lucky. You can only achieve success by finding your own way. There are many golden opportunities out there waiting to be discovered and you can’t find them by sitting where you are. Travel the country and luck will find you. I guarantee you that :)

Shida ya sacco ni kuliquidate shares. Utalilia kwa choo ile siku utataka kuchukua pesa zako. They're transferrable but not redeemable.

Very good advice but it's very hard to report to work every day knowing full well that you could be out there making it big. As it is, I already have my resignation letter drawn up and saved on my gmail. I'm waiting for our end year bonus to be announced halafu nibounce I think i'll take my chnaces.
For the record, I'd advise against quitting your day job at the moment.

I did some background search on That sacco and it turns out they offer some of the best interests on non-withdrawable deposits since 2000. Seems legit to me.

Fanya hivi, weka yote to fixed deposit account, start a business in your line of experience, consultancy on anything, buy a few tools you need, register a company all with your salary, hunt for clients wherever , once it starts moving and it being stable, quit your day job, borrow up to a maximum of 500k per year from your fda to expand your side hustle, when it hits 2m revenue, I will allow you to borrow up to 1m from it.

Nkt, my grandma told me that the reason why the gizzard was said to be for the man of the house's consumption only was to avoid competition and fights over it, same way it was said to be a curse to sell inherited land to avoid the stupidity of fights over land between siblings and wastage Of the funds , people do not squander the money because they are cursed, ni ujinga na kuona nikama hizo pesa ni nyingi sana.
So mtu anafaa akuwe na 10 acres of land 'zimezubaa' mahali smh
