By DAVIS AYEGA, NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 22 – Governor Mike Sonko has disclosed that revenue collection by the Nairobi County Government has gone up since he took over power from his predecessor Evans Kidero.
Sonko has occasionally accused county officials of corruption which he has vowed to eliminate after discovering Sh7 million that had not been banked days after taking over as Governor – leading to an investigation against several officials.
Baba amekaukiwa, pesa za campaign hamna tena,by the way Baba said he would resign if Sonko was elected as governor,am waiting to see him relinquish his position as the leader of opposition.
I really appreciate the diversity that Kenya is, which is brought about by the 43 tribes we have in .ke.
So, when a Kamba says he wanna make something beautiful, the most beautiful, what tonne and accent, do we expect for our city ? Let’s start with yellow and red ? Wonder if Kambas and Hispanics are related in anyway.
No wonder Babuon is now practically experiencing the road network put up by the Dynamic Duo…he was used to seeing the roads from the clouds…Thanks to funds from County 047!
On the short term the target is 200 million daily collection from the less than 10 out of 200 revenue streams that have digitize collection. That’s roughly 6 billion a month:eek::eek::eek::eek:and 72 billion a year. Could Kidero be the richest man in Kenya? In the long term I cant even begin to imagine the amount once all 200 revenue streams incorporate digital electronic payments. Clearly Nairobi county doesn’t need Kshs 18 billion devolved funds it gets.
You don’t have to participate in revenue meetings you only need to delegate but upon reporting, all the glory is yours. All of it. I No one cares, no one asks.
Even if you do nothing at all but have a good campaign team, you’ll always have the most vote.
You can never “eat” more than your boss…What was revealed about Kideros deputy and finance ofgicer should serve as a rough guide as to what Kidero was pocketing.
Babuon will forever rue losing the 047 Gubernatorial seat.
35m in cash collections on a daily basis is quite normal for city council.
Im told Jambopay is now in charge of all collections for nairobi county council. The entire cash collection office has been privatized
