Regular travel for work/business is exciting at first but it has finally caught up with me. Depression ni real and alcohol has slowly become my crutch. Here are a few reasons why shouldn’t travel so much.
[ul]
[li]I’m always tired. Fatigue ni ngori.[/li][li]I’m always sick. Mombasa is hot as fuck and Nairobi is basically a freezer. My body doesn’t have time to recover and I end up using over the counter meds.[/li][li]I never make any real connections. I’ll meet a girl, connect with her and before you know it I’m on the road again. [/li][li]I’ve lost touch with my close friends and they don’t bother reaching out anymore.[/li][li]Cheap hotels and prostitutes. Hoes are the most miserable people in the world and I’m constantly around them in a dingy room trying to cut costs.[/li][li]Booze. You’ll drink yourself to death on the road. [/li][li]Hotel food. Garbage that will have you gaining 5 kgs in a week. [/li][li]Cops and car breakdowns. I’m always at a roadblock or a shady garage.[/li][/ul]
Think about this shit before you accept a job that demands regal travel especially if it involves long drives.
Pole man, that is soul sucking. Hope you get a new job that has less travel time. Please do me one favour, DM for me tall mnyama everywhere one of these bullet points

Yes travel is v draining, I hear you on this one. But you need to address the issue of surrounding yourself with hoes on your stop overs. And booze. You need to kujipanga and realise that when you are on the road uko job pia. And limit your mwinjoyo to your break in between travel.
Since you travel a lot, try and establish a few places that are clean, such that you can try and catch some sleep. Lack of proper sleep really messes up someone. Stick to a select few places
Sorry man, I don’t know how flexible you are but if possible take a week or two off every now and then to decompress and reconnect with family/friends.
