Journalist mjanja..The Akasha story

So I read today’s newspaper the story about Akasha. The reporter gives all clues but avoids mentioning any names… Check parts of the story below.

“Two of the governors are from the ruling Jubilee Party, while the third was elected on an ODM ticket. The ODM governor is sought alongside his brother.”

“The Cabinet secretary who is wanted by the FBI was massively involved in Jubilee campaigns.”

“The CAS on the the list is a renowned politician rewarded by Jubilee for swimming against the tide on ODM political turf”

“Then there is a vocal MP from the Rift Valley allied to Ruto and serving a second term in office. He has been outspoken in opposing the ongoing graft purge”

“Also on the wanted list is a former Jubilee governor who lost in controversial circumstances in the last election and a former female MP from Mount Kenya region. The ex-MP is known to have deep pockets and serious political connections”

“A controversial politician from Western Kenya who ran for election in Nairobi in 2007 is also on the list of shame”

end of story.

In other mushene news, some mall owners wanalia kwa Choo. I have ranked some of the malls with 10/10 being totally ghost and 0/10 being extremely busy mall.

Juja city mall- Has three floors. Top floor yote is empty. Second floor has only one shop- a chips shop. The limping mall is being sustained by Tuskys. This I give it a 9/10 in the ghost mall scale.

Spur mall- they opened naivas on ground floor and laviva lounge on 5th floor. There’s nothing else to write about this mall. Next door there’s a theme park being constructed. It may drive traffic to that mall. Has potential so I give it a 5/10

KU Unicity- Terrible idea. Never been there but I understand it has one tenant- Equity Bank. Not sure why they thought it was a good idea to come up with a mall and not a research and innovation hub. Anyway, they’re constructing an exit to make it easy to access. This gets 10/10 in the ghost mall scale.

Mountain Mall- Never been inside. The owner of this mall also owns Juja city mall and Jimlizer hotel in Eastlands. Auctioneers are knocking his door since juja city mall hasn’t made returns.

TRM- This mall has lots of traffic. Their parking lot is always packed and quite a number of shops can be seen with customers. Wahindi walihamia huku after Westgate. 2/10 because it hasnt shown ghost signs.

Garden city- They have a great concept of residential, offices and mall within one area. Favourite spot for kids activities and relaxation area in the lush grass. Some shops seem busy while others seem idle. 3/10

Greenspan Mall- Slowly turning to another ghost mall. 3 or so shops on ground floor are empty. Aga Khan hospital had to downscale it’s space… Then there’s a club in the rooftop ukitoka hapo unapata pneumonia juu ya baridi. Being sustained by Tuskys traffic. 8/10

Mall near Eka hotel Mombasa road- they are still giving offers to tenants. Not sure of it’s performance.

@Okiya rate ananas mall pale Thika Makongeni.

Umewacha wapi nextgen?

Alafu garden city has shops closing down almost every month…how do you calculate that into yiur ratings?

Hoho,Onko and Wairiru?

Balaa

Anyanya Mulosi?

Sudanese Oscar?

Mr Moneybags?

Been to ananas twice so I can’t give objective reviews. Jam ya kufika huko ndio hunibore

Nimeweka nextgen. It’s the one next to Eka hotel. I saw they opened souq supermarket na food courts and like 3 clubs. But other than that I don’t know else happens there

For now, I would say that the mall with most business is gateway mall along Mombasa road.

What the fuak is wrong with this thread???

what came to mind while reading this is the Doug scores :D.

Ungeongezea pia a Weekend Ghost score and a Weekday Ghost score.

nice play with the names!

Ongeza junction, Sarit na The Hub karen

Huyo mwenye mountain mall amebakia tu na juja city mall.mountain ilichukuliwa na benki.

Never been to junction and the hub. Sarit is headed towards becoming a ghost mall.

his big hotel called Jimlizer in buruburu pia imechukuliwa na bank

Ni kama Ile fisi ilikuwa inaenda party mbili. Wee ngombe mOkiya, why didn’t you create two separate threads?

Malls died with the advent of e-commerce.

They were separate thread initially

How are the large malls fairing in the states? It seems it took a while for the concept to catch on huku when it is dying in the states.
