Praise be to Allah (swt) creator of heaven and earth. He has no partners and there is none like him. He used his prophet mohammed (pbuh) to the world to bring mankind glad tidings of his glory. Everyday i strive to please allah and obeying his commands. I call upon you my brothers, join the deen of islam and you shall see the truth. The truth is Islam and Islam is the only way to Jannah. Quran (9:30) - “And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!”

Quran (9:5) - “So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captive and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them.”

Quran (8:65) - “O Prophet, exhort the believers to fight…”

Quran (8:39) - "And fight with them until there is no more fitna (disorder, unbelief) and religion is all for Allah"

Quran (8:12) - “I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them”

Come on. Is this the way you view islam? Islam doesn’t support violent jihad. The prophet said ‘if you kill one person, you’ve killed the whole humankind.’

I appreciate that you’ve been reading the quran. These verses apply to muhammad’s time when he fought barbarians that sought to kill him and his companions. The quran guides us to treat everyone as equal. Let me remind you that the bible has many violent verses but we don’t say it is a violent religion. I urge you continue reading the quran with an open heart. Allah will guide you to the truth.

I would never waste my time reading that garbage that calls for my death because I do not believe in what it says. Those verses are open ended and call for the death of so called apostates. Shetani ashindwe.

According to the verse 9:5, the best way of staying safe from Muslim violence at the time of Muhammad was to convert to Islam: prayer (salat) and the poor tax (zakat) are among the religion’s Five Pillars. The popular claim that the Quran only inspires violence within the context of self-defense is seriously challenged by this passage as well, since the Muslims to whom it was written were obviously not under attack. Had they been, then there would have been no waiting period (earlier verses make it a duty for Muslims to fight in self-defense, even during the sacred months). The historical context is Mecca after the idolaters were subjugated by Muhammad and posed no threat. Once the Muslims had power, they violently evicted those unbelievers who would not convert. Even if the context is in a time of battle (which there were not) the reading appears to sanction attacks against those “unbelievers” who are not on the battlefield. In 2016, the Islamic State referred to this verse in urging the faithful to commit terror attacks: [I]Allah did not only command the ‘fighting’ of disbelievers, as if to say He only wants us to conduct frontline operations against them. Rather, He has also ordered that they be slain wherever they may be – on or off the battlefield.

Yes the Bible has many violent verses. None of them say kill all the muslims, Jews and the Hindus wherever you find them and cut off their fingertips. And they are barred by time.

You have to understand that ISIS is not Islam. If ISIS is Islam, muslims would be fighting non-muslims everywhere they are. Only a few brainwashed muslims heeded the call by ISIS to kill the non-muslims. Look at the ottoman caliphate which was governed by muslims. Greece and Armenia were part of the caliphate but their a majority of the populations are christians. If islam was all about killing all the non-muslims, no non-muslim would be existing in the middle-east and balkan countries that were ruled by the Ottomans. Do you know about 35% of the Lebanese are christians yet they were under muslim rule?

He didn’t read the quran, he just read the anti-islamic sites of garbage

Yes, ISIS is not islam, but they follow islamic teaching to the core, as it is in the quran. Muslims are fighting non-muslims everywhere. What would you call the Westgate massacre where muslims were left to live and others shot and killed? What would you call the Charlie Hebdo shootings?

This is a quote from Wikipedia on Ottoman Greece…

Some Greeks either became New Martyrs, such as Saint Efraim the Neo-Martyr or Saint Demetrios the Neo-martyr while others became Crypto-Christians (Greek Muslims who were secret practitioners of the Greek Orthodox faith) in order to avoid heavy taxes and at the same time express their identity by maintaining their secret ties to the Greek Orthodox Church. Crypto-Christians officially ran the risk of being killed if they were caught practicing a non-Muslim religion once they converted to Islam.

Actually, it was the Ottomans who kept bloodthirsty muslims from attacking Christians. Another excerpt from Wikipedia

The fall of the Ottoman Empire and World War I ushered in the greatest period of violence against Christians in the region.[30] Subsequently, hatred against Christians was fueled by the suspicion of the West prevalent in much of the Middle East because of its support to Israel, and the ravages attributed to Western colonialism; as it happens, Christians are perceived by some in the region as sharing the same religious beliefs with the Western former colonialists. Derogatory words and insults are often used on these pre-Arab and pre-Islamic Christian communities, describing them as “illegitimate children of the crusaders” or as “slaves of western colonialists”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity_in_the_Middle_East#Persecution_of_Christians_in_Middle_East

Yes, actually, it is the Muslims who found the Maronite Christians, descendants of Phoenicians in Lebanon. And true to form, the arab muslims proceeded to persecute them. Now, those Lebanese christians whenever tey get the chance, they leave Lebanon because of persecution from Muslims. Another excerpt from the Wikipedia link above…

During the Muslim conquest, Muslims persecuted the Christians, particularly the Maronites, with the persecution reaching a peak during the Umayyad caliphate

Wherever any other religion preceeded the Muslims, they are bound to exist up to today. However, the opposite cannot be said of wherever any other religion was preceeded by islam. You even went to the subcontinent of India and started attacking Hindus.

Amin

I agree that people have suffered because of some actions commited by muslims. But don’t be one-sided. Muslims have also suffered. Many muslims were killed during the crusades and the inquisition. The intolerance displayed by some islamist groups does not represent the outlook of 1.6 billion muslims. Many muslims want to live in peace with their fellow non-muslim neighbors. Judge muslims individually based on their actions instead of viewing with one biased lens.
