Inaitwa Around View Monitor.
The simple myth is that various cameras are around the car: the middle of the front grille, more ultra-wide-angle cameras look down from the side view mirrors along the flanks on the car (car wings), and one is just above the license plate. Software patches the various images together and converts the panoramic view into a 3D map. Then it inserts an image of your vehicle in the middle so it looks as if a drone is hovering 50 feet above the car.
The truth is, there is a microscopic drone flying above you watching your every move and distabilize the vehicle when you overspeed at corners, that is why Prados and some VXes overturn when driven at corners at high speed. Go tell everyone you know.
