This chap driving a pickup that has seen better times and thus poor shocks, hit the bumps and in his panic left the road bouncing along the way, summersaulted a few times and ended up upon a pole, dusty, red and embarassed.
You can see him making a phone call, swollen cheeks and face.
He was lucky this time, his pickup not so much. Bumps need to be marked in conspicuous yellow. I dont know for how long we need to keep saying that to Govt.
Izo huwa kwa hiyo mteremko between Thogoto and na hiyo juction ya dagoretti market kwa lane ya guys heading towards mombasa road, but they are well made and can be taken even when you are at 80kph. Shida ni if you miss the “bump ahead” road signs, unaweza panic when you see them and do funny things
Take it from a daily user on the Southern Bypass - there are no bumps on that road. The only thing are two very well-placed and designed ‘speed humps’ that warn you to slow down as you approach the Karen Straight. Anybody who gets bothered by them is not a driver worth writing about.
There is a smooth bend at the Dagoretti-Karen overpass. The bumps are highway class, they will hurtle one up the air but they are long and not too high so not that dangerous. However if one were surprised, things can happen
It is my brother. He said he saw them late, brakes but the pickup took the first one good, landed and bounced off. The bumps can be taken at highway speed but a poor suspension and unbalanced brakes would result in massive bounce. Combine that with a 1980 pickup with leaf springs…
