One of my catch kwao ni mpeketoni. She told me mpeketoni iko Mainland to get to Lamu Island ni boat tena. Halafu they used to stay on an island huko which only means of transport was a boat ride which took 4 freaking hours. 4 hours uko tu kwa boat, mimi siwesmek. Would love to visit Lamu though n meet some Pokomos

Pokomo na Orma wengi wako Tana River, Lamu ni Bajuni mostly na waarabu. Normal boat ride from Lamu island to Faza islnd is about 4hrs; normal boat from Mokowe jetty to Lamu island about 45mins (speed boat much less).

faza island is damn far bt so beautifl kwanza ukienda morning kabsa so that u see the sunrise,with a speed boat u need 2hrs. uko u have to stand @ specific spot kupata network.
alafu that road btn malindi to mpeketoni n onward is deathly…apo usipokimbiza gari al saitan watachomoka from the bush n then we will read your sad story in the papers
