No, this thread is not about a 48th devolved unit, Tom Mboya becoming president or France colonizing Kenya. Yes, mfalme amekwisha maneno ya magari na amerudi kwa Echesha. Anyway, four years ago, Hashi Energy was doing this thing(and they probably still are doing that thing) whereby for 70,000 KSH you could convert your car to run on LPG or petrol. Autogas(what LP gas is called when running motor vehicles) goes for KSH 20 per litre, but is less efficient. I’m sure most of you drive, so you can compare that to the cost of a litre of Petrol. So, would you convert?
makes sense kabisa
Where did bajaj come from?
I would convert any small vehicle. The likes of Uber Chap Chap and PSVs.
LPG is where the government should have concentrated efforts for heating water for domestic use. Solar heating is less efficient and still uses electric boilers during cold or overcast days.
Simple home solutions which can be scaled for apartments would work better than installing unsightly solar heaters.
The vehicles used to run on kawaida LPG . A Kg of LPG is around 100 Kshs or thereabout .
India
How much energy does a kg of LPG give Vs a litre of petrol
