Farmer races to market in homemade “BMW”
A farmer in Enshi, central China’s Hubei Province, has wowed his fellow villagers with a self-made vehicle cobbled together from spare auto parts and an abandoned tractor.
It took Yuan De’an, 66, a little over a month to assemble the multi-purpose car, which has a clutch, brake and gears. He mainly uses it to shuttle goods between his home and local markets.
Yuan calls the car his “BMW” and says he is very satisfied with his creation, despite its clumsy appearance.
