The Elders Association of Kenya want March 9 to be declared a public holiday to commemorate the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Speaking in Nairobi, association member Martin Kenyanjui alias Mutarara wants the handshake to go down in history as the day Kenyans were united.
“God has answered our prayers through the March 9, 2018 handshake between the President and former Prime Minister, the tension and uncertainty that existed came to an end,” stated Mr. Kenyanjui in a press release.
