The basis behind this is that the bulb goes on if the circuit is closed, but there’s not enough power to light a bulb. Thus the capacitors in the bulb take over to discharge power. So, there’s a short circuit in the bulb holders.
If you want to trouble shoot and confirm the bulbs are fine, take them out and use your hands to complete the circuit. If they light with the circuit closed, but don’t when they are left, the issue is the contacts in the bulb holders.
These bulbs are a scam…i have used them for years now…they are simply meant to light up if:
a.) the bulb is charged and is connected to any contact i.e: hata maji kwa glassi huiwasha or a wet finger
b.) the bulb is charging na iko kwa switch, it will light as long as the switch is on
