Reggae ni anthem ya thugs. Usiwahi jipata club inachezwa reggae. Wacha watu waseme una maringo. Mimi club inachezwa reggae ama watu wanachana siwes kaa. I prefer clubs with a young and somewhat sophisticated crowd…not necessarily birrioneas but decent enough kama pale 64 Kimathi street.

Sounds very familiar. Mimi pia I went through the exact same thing but in broad daylight karibu na Afya Center. What saved me was that I was only meters away from Mats za mtaani, so I just jogged a few meters and hopped into a matatu.

One weekend nimeenda na now my wife and my bros to a reggae club hapo Utawala. Tumechapa dobah ile wazimu. Then me and my wife had to leave kwenda home as it was getting too late. Kufika home…tunapata bro amebaki na keys za main gate kwa club. So we discuss na wife. Twende motel ama turudie keys. Tukaamua kurudia keys as we can sleep longer at home. Nikangurumisha ndai hadi kwa club. Kufika nikakuta ni kama club imefungwa as the main door had been pulled down. But nje kuna wasee wamesimama by the entrance. Nikaambia wife aningoje kwa gari as i go ask if my bro amebleki ndani ama bado ako ndani. Told wife to lock herself inside the car. Nikatoka…am approaching the main entrance…so nikauliza afew guys hapo nje kama club imefungwa ama wasee bado wako ndani. Guy tells me rudely that he doesn’t work there so niulize hapo kwa mlango. Nikamshow haina problem and started heading towards the door. Then all of a sudden same guy who answered me rudely akasema ,“bro mbona umeniita umbwa!?”. I think its a joke and shrug it off that sijamwita umbwa. Jamaa akaanza kunifuata akidai ati hakuna vile naweza mwita umbwa. Mimi nikafika kwa mlango. They were letting people out one by one. So nikaingia nikakosa bro. Nikitoka nje napatana na the same small guy. Akadai nilimwita umbwa bure. Nikajua inaweza kuwa trap so nikakuwa humble nikamshow sikumwita umbwa by any means and if alisikia kama nimemwita umbwa namwomba msamaha kama mwanaume story iishe. While am dealing na huyu kijanaa… Kidogo another guy (they were together) takes interest in the scene. Hes approaching us. I think he’s coming to bail me out that sikutusi his buddy as they were standing outside together. Surprise!!! Nikasikia the 2nd guy say," ati wewe umeita bro yangu umbwa? Aje???". Nikajua am cornered. Nikajaribu ku explain i didn’t. They don’t wanna hear it. Nikaanza ku approach gari nijitoe. The 1st guy blocks me…ako mbele yangu. Like face to face. Kwa mfuko niko na Samsung galaxy edge ya wife, simu ya bro, simu yangu na cash. Nikajua wanataka kuniibia. Nikijitetea hivi…jamaa akanichapa heady out of nowhere. He held the back of my head (kisogo). Akainamisha kichwa yake. Akavuta kichwa yangu. My face on top of his head. Nikaona stars.!!! Started bleeding like fucck!!! Blood all over.My upper lip deeply cut!!! Nikajua kamenuka. The 2nd guy joins in na ameanza kunishika shirt wakinivuta to the dark alley on the side of the club. Mind you there are other guys standing around but they are not helping. Mimi nikajam nikajua i have to try my best. Wananivuta towards the alley mimi nawavuta towards my parked car. Wife ameshtuka. Anaona hubby akihandwa but she can’t do anything. Ushai kuwa kwa danger mwili inakupatia nguvu hujawai kuwa nayo? Nikapambana na wajamaa hadi nikafikia gari. Wife akafungua mlango. Nikakalia kiti ya dere. Wajamaa wakashikilia mlango so i couldn’t close it. Wife is sympathizing with them to leave me alone and she’s sorry for everything. Nikangurumisha gari. Wajamaa bado wameshikilia mlango. Jamaa akaingiza mkono kwa his inner pocket ya mbwenya alikuwa amevaa…nikajua either ni kisu ama bunduki anataka kutoa. I put the car on Drive and hammered the accelerator to the floor. Yaani pedal to the metal. Hivo ndio nilichomoka mlango ya dere ikiwa open. Hata sikulala that night. Kutetemeka kama chameleon on a feeble twig during a storm. So we ended up in the hotel…better tungeenda tu vile tulifikiria about it. Wasee!!! The guy who head butted me was so young i say. But there was nothing i could have done. Waliona ni mimi tu na wife tulikuwa kwa gari. Saw my swollen pockets with phone and wallet wakajua wamepata victim. Wanaume assume alot when it comes to security.

You made alot of poor judgments and today you and your wife could be dead bcz of it.

First off kuacha mtu kwa Gari unamwambia ajifungie is very dangerous. These guys could have taken the car your wife gone and killed and raped her. These boys are on drugs. That is very wreck less of you.

Nairobi is a dangerous place and sitting in a car is dangerous. In a regular parking say in a mall during the day . Let alone outside a club in the middle of the night.
