Never ever give audience to anyone you don’t know however sympathetic or persistent.
A lesson passed to me by my old man after nearly losing a fortune in Pretoria back then.
But some people are genuine just to.differentiate between fake and genuine is tricky. People have helped/ received help from strangers including financial aid so its not so good to ignore everyone.

It’s a cruel world we are living in.A doc at Shalom hospital was once hijacked after being flagged down by a lady with two kids.
Such incidents make me loose trust and faith in humanity.

This is my first hekaya, I am not trying to match the legendary hekayarists writing skill existing in this village. However Constructive criticism is welcomed.
It was in march 2016, I was living in this west rift valley town of kericho. On this particular day I wanted to register my new ‘company’ and hence needed huduma centre. For those who havent been in this warm rainy town the huduma centre is situated in temple road almost immediately after the co-op bank, kericho. I alighted at some minutes past ten just opposite parkmart and therefore followed the hospital road.
Just after I took a turn joining the temple road a lady approached me, she was this type not yellow but after some serious and intense face edition there are some traces of brown colour. She was wearing a red skirt and a pullover, I mistook her of a hoe and thus just shrugged her. I proceeded to the co-op bank and after a few mins I was done. Funny enough I found the lady still waiting outside(hivi ndo saitani hujiforce kwa life).
After a few steps in between Coop and huduma I realized two cars strategically located and were sorrounded by people, just before I thought closing the other side and avoiding the traffic. Two women joined me this time I was aware of my environment so I had so much patient. One explained to me that there is this offer, all you need is 10000 and if you win anything that may include laptops, tablets, phones and other electronics. What was confusing is why would I have to pay anything but from the cajoling I received from these women I accepted.
Into the car I was led to, I was offered unscratched tickets which I was to choose just one. I just counted one to seven, my lucky number. Right? No wrong. Upon scratching boom I had won two tablets each was worth around 30k or so I thought. I couldn’t believe my ears nor trust my luck that day. Maybe god’s had finally gave up on me or maybe God had paid me for being faithful to one girl. I stood there, couldn’t hear nor see anything just thoughts. Part with 10k and get at least 50k, so smart? Wrong again. One lady just hinted andikisha jina hapo uende ukapigwe picha na video uko live k24. Really? I needed to call my mum, Parents need to be there to celebrate break the news at least I am not a poor bastard in everything. A little sweat fell from my nose. This was my lucky day. Please circle it on your calendar sir!
I counted, 10 new thousand note. Blessed them and handed to a man in the car. I received my two tablets and waited for the camera man. After waiting for ten mins I was told to leave I’ll be called. I cursed the spirit reminding me it could be a hoax but I was happy what mattered is I had the tablets. My worries took over and were high now so I thought to google the brand name and so it came to be, they were fake and each costed a meagre 4500 each. Really I hated myself who is going to buy a tablet with 500mb ram?? This Time I was sweating, crying, tears flowing profusely. I didn’t know what to do or say I was just plainly foolish.
