We want to bring democracy to Iraq...so they said

I do not have time to continue arguing about this. We do not need any country to be a world power. We need each and every country in the world to stick to the set agreed world rules of international engagement and we will have world peace. We do not need countries meddling in other nations affairs and poking their noses here and there in the name of democracy. Let each nations sort out their own internal issues and if anything must be done, let it be done through properly established legal channels

And as hard as some try to spin it, it was Georgia that started the 2008 Russo-Georgian war. Even the Financial Times reported as much.

Georgia started last year’s war with Russia but Moscow helped to provoke the fighting, found a long-awaited official report into the conflict, which cost about 850 lives and created political turmoil in Europe.

Alright. Lets drop the argument. But as a parting shot, there is no historical epoch that exists whereby there was no main world power or at least regional power that didnt push its weight around. Whether you are talking of Africa (zulu empire) or Asia (chinese, japanese empires) or Europe (Roman Empire etc).

Given that there will always be a hegemon going by human History, I would rather the Americans rather than the Chinese or Russians during our current historical epoch. Thats the gist of my argument.

Cheers Bro!

Attack on their sovereignty. How do a foreign country kill an Iraqi citizen or citizen in their own soil? That’s the argument

It was Russia that provoked the fighting by supporting separatists in Georgia my fren.

Trump akiwa hai hatawahi leta watu pamoja kama Qasem Soleimani akiwa maiti alivuruta crowd ya over a million people. Ata pope hawezi

wasudi wakileta jeshi kenya and treat y’all like second class citizens with no say in big actions, would you feel comfortable kupointiwa guns na wao everywhere you go??
besides the guy saveD iraq from ISIS

I have always said that the US are not Angels and that they are not an altruistic people. The US have interests and if they pull out of Iraq, Iran will definitely step into the void. This is an Iran that has been pushing for influence in the region and is attempting to become a nuclear power. Also, this is an Iran that is known for funding terrorist organizations. Remember 911? Or the 98 bombings in Kenya and Tz?

What am wondering about the Iraqis is why they would prefer a religious agnostic people to leave only for Iran to come in and try to impose its own version of Islam there. The Iranians are a theocracy and you can bet that they will try to make Iraq follow the same version of Islam that it does

Fact: if the Americans leave, the Iranians will step in.

South Ossetia and Abkhazia made it clear that they didn’t want to remain under Georgian control, just as Georgia made it clear it no longer wanted to be a part of the Soviet Union’s successor state after the wall fell. So it’s okay for Georgia to receive independence but wrong for the two autonomous regions to demand self rule? Whatever the case, Georgia fired the first shots.

This may be true. But Georgia was recognized as a sovereign state by the rest of the world and that separatist movement should have been seen as an internal affair. Why should Russia intervene?

In the same vein, Russia fought separatists Chechnya. If Russia was so altruistist as to be helping people get freedem, why didnt she let the chechnyans go?

Same thing happened in kenya in the 60s (shifta wars) and during Kibakis rule (pwani si kenya). Should countries like say Ethiopia or Somalia have intervened to give these people their “freedom”?

Saudi Arabia is the biggest financier of terrorism in the world. Nearly all the 911 hijackers were Saudi citizens, but the narrative has somehow been twisted to put the blame on Iran. Just like Saddam was accused of being buddies with Al-Qaeda, even though Iraq at the time was a secular state that Osama was working hard to turn into an Islamic state. Saudi Arabia uses its massive oil resources to pay lobbyists who block any attempts by American victims of 911 to sue the kingdom under JASTA.

If Iran’s influence over Iraq has grown, whose fault is it? Under Saddam, the country was controlled by Sunnis, who could be relied upon to prevent Shia Iran from making inroads into the country. But after Saddam’s removal, the Shia majority took power and naturally they became more receptive to Iranian overtures. If America hadn’t illegally invaded Iraq, we wouldn’t have this mess.

Kwanza it was Mike Pence in his younger days who said Iraq has weapons of mass destruction.

Ni kama uniambie uka na msupa kwa pigsty but ju unaogopa mbogi ya mtaani itakuchunia bibi ,na huna imani na wewe mwenyewe kujichungia, unaandika bouncer achunge mali but at the same time anaitomba but you cool with it.

So whats the point of having protectors while the nation remains one of the highest rated in illiteracy forget anything else.Even the pygmies in congo flourish but on the flip side ,shouldnt development be grasped?

true, they follow the realist internaional politics theory. there must be an international prefect (hegemon) for the world to be in order, otherwise the world would be more chaotic.

Every human being and nationally should be allowed to thrive and propagate their genes to future generations. Developing is a different issue altogether. A super power is like the police force. They don’t contribute to your development directly but they protect you so that you can live whether in wealth or in poverty.

Russia - Syria and Ukraine in recent history and Georgia in the past.

China - look at what they are doing to the uyghurs and Hong Kong.

Doesn’t create animosity? Persians occupied east europe for over five hundred years in the past, now the europeans subdtly hate them . Wouldnt the same be metted on US five hundred years later when a new super power emerges

Trump’s Iran War: what al-Qaeda and ISIS want

The U.S.-led joint task force against ISIS has suspended operations against the terror group in Iraq. Their resources and forces are having to get into a defensive posture because of the situation with Iran. This is exactly what Saudi Arabia wanted, and this is what al-Qaeda and ISIS want. So Trump, again, his actions are directly in support of the mission of ISIS and al-Qaeda, and this is further evidence of it. They suspended operations, and instead they’re now focused on Iran.

Tell that to the August ‘98 bomb blast victims, Garissa university students, west gate victims, Dusit D2, Mpeketoni, Lamu bus massacres and countless attacks by the religion of peace adherents. You forget so quickly who the real enemy is.
