All those rappers will tell you how they grew up listening to motown music in their homes. This is further evidenced by the amount of sampling of motown music (and/or music of that era) in A LOT of hiphop music. Hiphop didnt just spring into being!

If an artists samples one record in an album that does not mean that Motown influenced the whole album. Stick to the topic at hand.
