Hakuna kitu kama hiyo.nhif pays nrb hospital. 4k per day and the rest of the bill jipange.in governments hospitals the patient doesn’t pay a cent for inpatient. Walk in-walk out. How is that more expensive.?

If you did not like the services there you can change the facility after 3 months. The next change is from 1st April. For those changing. For first time choice of outpatient facility, it’s immediate.

Let me rephrase: Private hospitals receive a bigger share of NHIF cash than public hospitals

For civil servants from job group “L” and above, the NHIF has entered into contract with certain high cost private hospitals where it pays the full cost for all authorised services

Good health investment. I also pay for my mum, applied for the card through a known hospital in the village and now there are no much stress over the bills.
The card is helpful especially for the aging generation. I highly recommend we cover them with health insurance as well, not only NHIF.
